Abstract:

Business analysts are expected to bridge gaps, influence decisions, and drive outcomes—yet many struggle to be heard, gain stakeholder buy-in, or position their insights effectively. The challenge is not capability, but the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence in complex environments.

In this session, Sheena Yap Chan reframes confidence as a core leadership competency for business analysts. Using the VISIBLE™ framework (Voice, Identity, Spotlight, Inner Work, Belief, Leverage, Elevation), participants will learn how to elevate their presence, communicate insights with impact, and lead without formal authority.

Aligned with the evolving role of business analysts as strategic partners, this session provides practical tools to strengthen influence, improve stakeholder alignment, and increase visibility across teams.

Participants will leave equipped to move beyond analysis—leading with authenticity, clarity, and measurable impact.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify one visibility gap limiting their influence as a business analyst and map it to a VISIBLE™ framework component.

  2. Apply one structured communication strategy to present insights more clearly and drive stakeholder buy-in.

  3. Connect confidence and visibility behaviours to measurable outcomes, such as improved alignment, decision-making, or project impact.
